The Long Way Home
A woman maps her own biography in a patchwork of stories that mark the main events of her life. The departure from communist Romania and the arrival in capitalist Germany becomes a journey in time. In the long process of transition, memories are gradually replaced by new experiences, new opportunities arise, perspectives change.
About the Author
Adriana Carcu is an international cultural journalist and the author of six books. She signs a permanent column in Orizont, the magazine of the Romanian Writers’ Association, and contributes with stories, essays, interviews, and reviews to numerous cultural magazines and sites. Adriana writes in English and Romanian.
